Terms & Conditions
The full service agreement governing your use of Society of Scholar Writers, including client obligations, our fair use policy, revisions, refunds, and dispute resolution.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using our website or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client", "you") and Society of Scholar Writers ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of our website at societyofscholarwriters.com and all related services.
By accessing our website, creating an account, submitting an order, or making a payment, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Nature of Services
Society of Scholar Writers provides bespoke academic support and editorial guidance services. All work produced is intended solely as model answers, reference material, or study aids to assist clients in understanding academic concepts, developing their own writing skills, and producing original work.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Essay writing, structuring, and planning guidance
- Assignment help and academic coaching
- Dissertation and thesis support at all stages
- Editing, proofreading, and formatting services
- Research consultancy and literature review assistance
- PhD support, proposal writing, and viva preparation
All completed work is delivered as an example of how a topic may be approached. Clients are responsible for ensuring their own submitted work is entirely their own creation.
3. Fair Use Policy
Society of Scholar Writers operates in full compliance with applicable UK law. All work we produce is provided strictly as a model answer for reference and learning purposes. We operate a zero-tolerance policy on academic misconduct. Clients must not submit any work produced by us as their own to any educational institution, examination board, or academic awarding body.
By placing an order, you expressly confirm that you will use all materials provided by Society of Scholar Writers:
- As a model answer and reference guide only
- To assist your own independent learning and research
- In compliance with your institution's academic integrity policy
- Only in ways that do not constitute academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or misconduct
Society of Scholar Writers accepts no liability for any academic, legal, or other consequence arising from a client's misuse of our materials in breach of this fair use policy or any institutional rules.
4. Eligibility
Our services are available to individuals aged 18 or over. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to decline service to any individual without providing a reason.
5. Placing an Order
5.1 Order Instructions
When placing an order, you are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and unambiguous instructions including subject area, academic level, word count, citation style, required sources, and deadline. We will follow the instructions provided and cannot be held responsible for any mismatch arising from inaccurate or incomplete briefs.
5.2 Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed once payment has been received in full and we have issued a written confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order prior to confirmation.
5.3 Amendments to Instructions
Amendments to order instructions may be accepted at our discretion. Significant amendments — including changes to topic, word count, deadline, or academic level — may result in additional charges or revised delivery timeframes.
6. Payment & Pricing
6.1 Pricing
Prices are determined by the academic level, subject complexity, word count, and deadline. All prices displayed are in GBP and inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Indicative pricing is available on our Pricing page.
6.2 Payment Terms
Full payment is required before an order commences unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed. We accept all major credit and debit cards and other methods as indicated at checkout. Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment processor.
6.3 Invoices and Receipts
An electronic receipt will be issued upon successful payment. Invoices for business clients are available on request.
6.4 Late or Failed Payments
Where payment fails or a chargeback is initiated without valid grounds, we reserve the right to suspend service, pursue outstanding amounts, and recover reasonable debt collection costs.
7. Delivery
We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver completed work by the agreed deadline. Deadlines are calculated from the point of full payment and receipt of complete instructions. In the unlikely event of a delay attributable to us, we will notify you as soon as possible and discuss available remedies.
Completed work is delivered electronically to the email address registered on your account. We accept no responsibility for delivery failures arising from incorrect email addresses or spam filtering.
8. Revisions
8.1 Free Revision Entitlement
Clients are entitled to request revisions where the completed work does not meet the original order instructions as submitted. Revision requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. We will complete eligible revisions within a reasonable timeframe.
8.2 Scope of Revisions
Revisions are limited to addressing issues arising from the original instructions. Requests that substantially alter the topic, scope, or direction of the work, or that introduce new requirements not present in the original brief, may be treated as a new order and subject to additional charges.
8.3 Revision Limitations
We reserve the right to decline revision requests that are not grounded in the original instructions, that are submitted outside the revision window, or that would require an unreasonable level of rework.
9. Refunds
9.1 Eligibility
Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. A refund may be available in the following circumstances:
- We are unable to fulfil your order and no suitable alternative is agreed
- Completed work demonstrably fails to meet the original order instructions and cannot be remedied through revision
- You cancel the order before a writer has been assigned
9.2 Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- The order has been completed and delivered in accordance with the original instructions
- Dissatisfaction arising from a change of mind, amended requirements, or instructions that were inaccurate or incomplete
- The client has submitted the work to an institution and received an unsatisfactory academic result
- Requests made after the 7-day revision window has closed
9.3 Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Partial refunds may be offered at our discretion where a significant portion of an order has been completed.
10. Confidentiality
We treat all client information and order details as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your identity, order details, or any information you share with us to any third party, except where required by law or as set out in our Privacy Policy. All writers and staff are bound by confidentiality agreements.
11. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, Society of Scholar Writers assigns all intellectual property rights in the completed work to the client. The client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the work for personal reference and study purposes as outlined in our Fair Use Policy.
We retain the right to use anonymised, non-identifiable excerpts or structures from completed work for internal quality assurance and writer training purposes only.
